WABAG Brno in the Czech Republic obtains two new orders in the drinking water treatment field with a value of EUR 3.1 million
  • Modernisation of the Jirkov water treatment plant
  • Reconstruction of the Mostište water treatment plant

The VA TECH WABAG subsidiary in Brno, Czech Republic has made a successful start to 2012, having obtained two
new contracts in the drinking water treatment field in its domestic market.

The company is to take part in the modernisation of the Jirkov WTP and supply new chemical dosing stations. In Mostište,
which is located near Brno in the picturesque landscape of the Bohemian-Moravian highlands, the company is to deliver
key equipment for the water treatment plant in order to purify the inlet water from the nearby dam. In addition, a new reservoir,
the new main pumping station and all the chemical units such as flocculant and chlorine dosing are to be supplied.

WABAG Brno will be responsible for design, engineering, delivery and commissioning. The plant has a capacity of
19,000 m3/d and start-up is scheduled for April 2014.

The two contracts have a total order volume of roughly EUR 3.1 million.
