VA Tech Wabag Limited, a leading global player in water and wastewater management has received the prestigious GWI Global Water Award, recognising the significant contribution made by us in the international water arena. The respected specialist journal pays tribute to top performers in the global water business.
The award was presented by Mr.Kofi Annan, former Secretary General of the United Nations at a special ceremony held in Berlin on 18th April in conjunction with the Global Water Summit 2011.
The GWI Global Water Awards recognise excellence in the international water industry – the people, projects and technologies that have made a difference. The selection process began with nominations from the industry which are then shortlisted by a panel of experts. The shortlist was then voted for.
Speaking on this award, Mr. Rajiv Mittal said, “We feel delighted and honoured that WABAG has received yet another recognition in international water industry”.
