Mondi SCP in Ružomberok is one of Mondi’s largest plants and the biggest integrated paper and pulp mill in Slovakia. For the production facility of MONDI SCP Ružomberok in Slovakia, WABAG has realised the construction of a new demineralization and condensate treatment plant utilizing mixed bed filter technology. In addition, WABAG completed the supply and installation of a new chemical dosing station for the wastewater treatment plant of the paper mill. The projects were successfully executed on a turnkey basis and completed in 2020.

• Scope:
  Engineering, supply, installation  and commissioning of demineralisation and condensate treatment plants including staff training.Complete supply and installation of electromechanical equipment for Chemical Dosing for the Industrial Wastewater Treatment plant.
• Treatment Process:

• • Demineralisation Plant:
    Cation Exchange,
    Anion exchange filter and
    External resin rinsing tanks.
  • Condensate treatment:
    Anthracite Filter (120 m3/h),
    Cation exchange filter (170 m3/h) and
    Mixed bed filter (300 m3/h).
  • Chemical Dosing Station:
    Dosing of caustic soda, phosphoric acid, ferric chloride, urea, biocide, formic acid, nutrimix, and calcium oxide.

• Impact:
  This project significantly improved water quality and process reliability at the mill, ensuring efficient production.
