WABAG set a new benchmark in drinking water treatment with the innovative Muttenz Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Switzerland. The plant is designed to address the pressing issue of micropollutants in groundwater, influenced by Rhine infiltrate and industrial activities. WABAG developed and implemented a cutting-edge process design that includes advanced oxidation, adsorption, and ultrafiltration to ensure the removal of contaminants like chlorobutadiene and bromate, providing safe and high-quality drinking water to the community.
