WABAG was awarded the contract by GDCOL for the expansion of the Tobruk MED plant with a fourth line, adding a capacity of 13,333 m³/day. The thermal seawater desalination plant, utilizing MED-TVC technology, was urgently needed to ensure a continuous supply of clean drinking water for the population, as well as a small volume of industrial water for the nearby power plant. This expansion also guaranteed uninterrupted power production and energy supply.
