Dangote Fertilizer is a large-scale complex in Lagos, that produces 3 million tonnes of urea and ammonia per year. It is the largest granulated urea fertilizer complex in Africa and the world.
WABAG has realised for this Greenfield Fertilizer complex the raw water treatment plant to produce various water qualities to ensure plant operation. Lagoon water is treated by a combination of biological treatment and Ultrafiltration/Reverse Osmosis as tertiary treatment for a production capacity of 60,000 m3/d.
In addition, WABAG was awarded to deliver a demineralization plant to produce demineralized water after raw water treatment. Ion exchange and mixed bed filter technologies have been employed.
- Scope: Design & Build
