Individual Multi-barrier systems
Typically, multi-stage treatment processes are necessary to ensure that drinking water from ground and surface sources remains consistently suitable for human consumption. These processes also address issues related to storage and distribution in the network.
At WABAG, we have extensive expertise in designing and implementing multi-barrier systems, derived from our experience in numerous projects. We excel in providing optimal solutions by combining conventional processes with advanced technologies such as advanced oxidation and membrane filtration.
This approach ensures a high level of flexibility and delivers water of the highest quality standards. Our executed projects range from conventional large-scale drinking water treatment plants with capacities of around 400 MLD to individually designed water treatment plants (WTPs) tailored to specific requirements, such as biological denitrification plants for groundwater treatment.
WABAG ensures top-quality drinking water through advanced technology, exemplified by the Kavaklidere Water Treatment Project in Izmir, Türkiye, purifying 401,500 m³/day. In Muttenz, Switzerland, our innovative groundwater treatment plant employs a three-stage process, setting new standards. Additionally, in Port Said, Egypt, the El Raswa WTP Stage II, commissioned in 2020, reduces raw water turbidity and provides a reliable water supply for the growing population.
