BLUE SEED envisions to stand as a beacon of innovation in the water sector.

On May 04, 2024, VA Tech WABAG launched the ‘BLUE SEED’ program to invest in, nurture, and empower promising start-ups with innovative water technology solutions aimed at shaping a secure and sustainable water future. The initiative targets early-stage water tech start-ups with high growth potential, offering them comprehensive support including pre-seed and seed funding, industry advisory from seasoned experts, access to WABAG’s data bank, and opportunities to pilot projects and reach global markets. This approach breaks traditional funding norms by creating a holistic ecosystem that cultivates a new generation of “Waterpreneurs.” Commenting on the launch, Rajiv Mittal, Chairman & Managing Director of VA Tech WABAG Limited, stated, “As we enter into our centenary year, with a deep commitment to giving back to the industry, we are excited to launch BLUE SEED to support and promote emerging Waterpreneurs.
