Manager – Procurement (Mechanical Buyouts)
Key Responsibilities:
• Procurement of mechanical rotary equipment including:
• Pumps, blowers, agitators, disc filters
• RO and membrane-based systems
• Prepare RFQs and conduct technical + commercial bid evaluations.
• Liaise with engineering for specification finalization.
• Manage vendor negotiations, purchase order issuance, and delivery follow-up.
• Ensure documentation compliance (QA/QC, inspection, drawings, manuals).
• Track material deliveries and ensure timely resolution of supply issues.
• Maintain detailed procurement records and cost comparison sheets.
• Lead rotary equipment procurement across multiple projects.
• Guide junior engineers and contribute to team development.
• Identify new vendors and improve cost-effectiveness through alternate sourcing.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years experience in rotary equipment procurement.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment/industrial equipment and vendor markets.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical data sheets.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Solid negotiation and vendor communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
• Prior experience in water treatment and infrastructure EPC projects.
• Exposure to both domestic and international vendors.
• Knowledge of equipment packaging, logistics, and inspection.
